Literature Text

In silence we speak and the words always linger
A doubtful side to glory
Like the marks on my skin that you trace with your finger
Soot-stained tarnished allegory

I will fall and draw the curtains with me as I go
Unveil the crystal mystery
I break my bones every time I grow
Of birds and glass speaks history

Tonight the heart dances gladly in fourths,
Insight and candor forsake
The besieged mind will walk those cords
A future of my ardent make

You love the sound of my insolent breath
Accursed is the metal on stone
It smells of copper and tastes of regret
And all the hope I still condone

Light my path with your darkness my love,
for the brightness has me blinded.
This is a strange poem. I think it can be read in more than one way.
